🌺 Our Pasifika family over at the Pacific Islands Council of QLD Inc. along with various QLD government bodies & organisations will be hosting the Pacific Climate Change Conference QLD 2018, taking place this coming weekend (25th-27th May) in Brisbane, Australia.

The issue of Climate Change has affected all our Pacific Island homes one way or another. The Pacific Climate Change Conference QLD 2018 aims to create awareness on the challenges of climate change as experienced by those working with affected communities in our Pacific Island nations and we highly encourage you to take the time to attend to hear from these individuals who have traveled great distances to share their stories, research, experiences & initiatives taken to address displacement and relocation of our affected communities.

The Pasifika International Women’s Day 2018 celebrates the efforts and successes of all Pacific Islander (PI) women in their roles as parent, carers, workers in Queensland, Australia and other nations.

  • This year the theme for Queensland Women’s Week is – ” Press For Progress.”

    The objectives of the day is to enhance the sisterhood within our community and celebrate everyone’s achievements as women.

    When: 17th March, 2018
    Where: Pasifika House – 69 Nathan Rd., Runcorn
    Time: 10am-4pm

    *Cost: $10.00 per head
    *All children under 10 years – FREE

Volunteers needed!

As our PWA International Women’s Day 2018 celebrations is approaching – we are looking for volunteers to aid with tasks throughout the day.
