The National Student Leadership Forum (NSLF) on Faith & Values is the initiative of Members and Senators of the Federal Parliament, supported by business and community leaders. Since 1997, the Forum has been drawing young people from across Australia, New Zealand and the region to Canberra to consider how they, as leaders, might use their gifts and energies to serve others.

Every year nominators seek young people aged 18-26 from Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands who show leadership potential. In September of 2015, PWA’s youngest committee member and QUT Student (at the time), Iree Chow represented both the Pasifika Women’s Alliance and the Queensland University of Technology at the annual National Student Leadership Forum.

Hailing from the Solomon Islands and Federated States of Micronesia, Iree was nominated by a number of community members to attend as a active young leader in the Pasifika community not only within Brisbane but back in her respective home nations.

We extend our great gratitude to QUT for sponsoring Iree’s place at the Forum.
